"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

Operation HuggaBear

“Operation HuggaBear” brings comfort to sick and hurting children at hospitals and shelters in the form of soft, cuddly teddy bears. Launched in 1999, this program has warmed the hearts of thousands of children. HuggaBears are a tangible way of saying to a child, "we care" and "you are loved." At an emotionally fragile time, a hug makes all the difference! We depend upon family and friends like you to help us place these bears into the arms of sick children.

LifeLine

Our LifeLine program assists with emergency medical transportation needs. Many families are financially burdened as a result of unforeseen medical crises and are unable to get proper transportation to the doctor or hospital for urgent treatment. This can pose serious hardship and life-threatening situations.
LifeLine, The Good Samaritans help make it possible for hospitals to provide these important services.

Our family of Prayer Partners lifts up every need, and rejoices over the many praise reports we receive on a continual basis.

Stewardship Philosophy

"We must delight in each other, make others conditions our own, rejoice together, mourn together, labor and suffer together, always having before our eyes our community as members of the same body."

These poignant words, shared by psychiatrist and humanist M. Scott Peck, describe the dimensions of community as quoted by early Pilgrim leader John Winthrop. In today's society this message remains highly relevant as conditions of poverty, hardship and hurting can be seen all around us. And it is only by way of your involvement that the world becomes a better place remembering those in need as members of the same body. Together, we are able to accomplish great things for God's Kingdom.

The bedrock of our ministry resides in our relationship with family, friends, and supporters of The Good Samaritans. You are a partner in caring as together we make a difference in the lives of needy children and families.

The Good Samaritans bring rays of hope to children, families, and communities through the resources you so generously provide. As we seek to turn a needy child's frown into a smile, it is our utmost responsibility to use these resources wisely.

As written in 1 Corinthians 4:2: Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. Our Stewardship Philosophy conveys the importance we place on this spiritual truth.
